WHO WE ARE :
Across the universe, justice is enforced by a brave legion of
individuals. The Guardians of the Universe sought out these brave souls
for their noble hearts, sound minds, and ability to overcome fear. Each was entrusted with a Power Ring, an ancient
weapon that can channel and control the energies of the green color
spectrum. They were also
assigned a Power Battery, a powerful device that can recharge their
Rings once every twenty-four hours, but only when they recite their
Oaths.
These men, women, and its are known as the Green Lantern Corps, famous fictional heroes of DC Comics.
The total roster includes over 7200 members; two Lanterns for every sector of the known universe. However, only a handful of
them have made
appearances.
In honor of those undefined Lanterns, and the rest of the Green
Lantern Corps, members of the League of Heroes message board have
formed this costuming group.
We accept any and all Green Lantern costumers, regardless if the character they
depict is DC canon or wholly fictional. Our goal is to make large group
appearances at
comic book conventions and events all across the country and to promote
the ideals of the Green Lanterns. Each costumer depicting an original
Lantern is
encouraged to write their own back story, create an oath, etc. in order
to flesh out the character.
